The Kauhajoki Food Fair is an important, annual and nation-wide introduction and sales event of domestic food stuffs. Entrepreneurs in the food line, sellers of machines, devices and services in connection with food and local handiwork experts introduce their products at the fair. Between tasting and shopping you can listen to lectures of the best experts in the food line.

The Food Fair takes place at the historical and cosy farmhouse Hames-Havunen, a fair environment without parallel, in the middle of the primary production area.The Food Fair of Kauhajoki is known for cosiness, current interest and good quality.

In Kauhajoki you can stay for a while because there are also lots of supplementary programs during the fair. The visitors can take a closer view of the know-how of the region at enterprises in different lines of business or take part in the Food Fair Golf Tournament and FootballCup. You can spend a peaceful moment at the events organised by the parish of Kauhajoki during the fair. On Saturday evening the Blowout Night (Syominkien yo) is celebrated in the main street of the town with delicacy all night long.

The Food Fair of Kauhajoki has established its position among other events; the Food Fair 2001 reached an all-time high with 16 500 visitors. Usually there are about 200 exhibitors. The Food Fair of Kauhajoki has been organised every year since 1991.
